Enhancing our Profile
"Strong Profile - Global Reach" - so reads the title of the 2010/2011 Annual Report of Frankfurt Main Finance. If establishing ourselves at the financial centre was the main goal at the start, the Frankfurt Main Finance initiative gained further momentum in the third year of its existence.
Above all else, we have now been successful in making a substantial contribution to honing Frankfurt’s international profile. Not only could Frankfurt Main Finance welcome high-ranking guests at the Frankfurt Finance Summit 2011, such as the German Chancellor and Europe’s top central bank officials, but, thanks to the event’s special format, we were also able to spark pragmatic debate on the future of financial market regulation. Over the coming years, the Frankfurt Finance Summit will be established as a regular event format, thereby further enhancing our financial centre’s position as THE centre for risk management and regulation.
The concrete benefits for the area resulting from our appearance on the international scene are shown, for example, by the financial centre model developed by Frankfurt Main Finance and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. The model was conceived as a comprehensive map of the financial centre’s services and service providers; it is used to mediate contacts between foreign companies and German business partners, for example. This provides effective support for the financial industry’s suppliers in particular.
