Optimistic Forecasts but Skepticism Towards Regulation
The CFS Financial Center Index rose by 2.2 points to 111.1 points--the first improvement of the business climate in the German financial sector since early 2011. Most of the approx. 400 companies surveyed argue that a European financial transaction tax will lead neither to a stabilization of the financial markets nor to an effective participation of the banks in paying the costs of the financial crisis.
